Art House is conceived as a private residence where architecture becomes an artistic expression of space, light and human experience. Nestled within the rolling landscapes of El Retiro, Antioquia, the project explores the relationship between sculptural form and nature through a composition of refined horizontal volumes, expansive glazing and carefully framed outdoor living spaces.
At the heart of the residence, a monumental central atrium defines the architectural experience. Flooded with natural light through a circular oculus above, this vertical space becomes the emotional center of the home, where a sculptural curved staircase gracefully wraps around a living tree, dissolving the boundaries between architecture and landscape.
The residence unfolds through generous social spaces that seamlessly connect with expansive terraces, reflecting pools and panoramic views of the surrounding forest. Natural stone, warm oak, architectural concrete and floor-to-ceiling glazing establish a restrained yet sophisticated material palette, allowing light and proportion to shape every interior throughout the day.
Rather than relying on ornament, Art House expresses its identity through geometry, spatial clarity and carefully choreographed movement. Every transition has been designed as a sequence of light, shadow and perspective, creating a home that is experienced as a living work of architecture.
Inspired by the timeless principles of contemporary architecture, Art House celebrates sculptural simplicity, spatial generosity and an intimate dialogue with the natural landscape, offering a residence where art and architecture become inseparable.
